Imagine waking up to the sounds of waves crashing and the golden sunlight warming your skin through your tent window all while sitting on a cliff overlooking Maui's ocean. Let me tell you: it's true paradise. While in Maui, after driving the Road to Hana our plan was to camp at Haleakala National Park. I orginally got this idea from saving money rather than staying at the Hana Hotel. Once we arrived in Maui our shuttle driver told me that same "imagine..." and I was so excited for my camping experience!
Read MoreTwin Falls is a great way to start the trip! With fruit stands and banana bread stands it's a nice place to start and get breakfast! Not only that but a very short walk will take you to the twin falls! I did the Road To Hana in the Winter, so flooding and muddy water is almost unavoidable! During the summer season you can swim and hang out in these falls which are blue then! Make sure you bring some old tennis shoes in the Winter because the path was pretty muddy!
Read MoreBesides the actual Road to Hana, the road out of Hana was my second favorite thing about Maui. The Piilani Highway was also unlike any drive I have ever been on! It felt like we were driving through every climate from Rainforest, to the African dessert, to Rocky Mountains, the Piilani Highway will show you it all. A lot of people drive to Hana and turn around and drive out but I promise you if you keep chugging on you will not regret it!
Read MoreWhile on Maui we decided to check out the Maui Ocean Center because we were told it was the best Aquarium on all of the islands! I can defiantly say it was better than Oahu's sadly, you would think for such a tropical place the aquarium would be great, but I guess they let the oceans do all the showing off :)
Read MoreMAUI IS A DREAM// If it isn't already on your travel list you need to add it now! It was the most beautiful island, I mean everywhere I looked was a gorgeous view. Not to mention the Hawaiian Roller Coster Ride on the Road to Hana. There are so many beautiful beaches, great camp sites, and countless valleys, mountains, and waterfalls to explore. A true dreamland.

Read MoreBaking has always been one of my all time favorite activities. If I'm not in the kitchen baking then I am probably watching Cupcake Wars or a Food Network Bake-off Challenge! When I was little my daddy told me one day I could open "Sav's Sweets" and sell all my yummy creations! So while I still sit here and dream that maybe one day I could be a super cute bakery owner, for now I will just share my creations on here!
Read MoreThe bluest of blues water and the whitest of white sand is what you get on the voted number on beach on Oahu. Waimanlo is on the east side heading North towards Lankiai beach. The water is so blue and relaxing you can float out there for hours! Many people bring floaties and fins and play all day.
Read MoreIt is safe to say that the North Shore of Oahu is a treat in it's self but stopping for a real treat at Il Gelato Hawaii will complete your experience. The new face in Haleiwa is this sleek and entertaining store front. The staff at Il Gelato Hawaii are some of the best I have seen on Oahu so far. They were so helpful, nice, and thoughtful! You can tell they set the standards when it come to making the customer happy. Not to mention they serve you with the most outstanding products on top of the exceptional service.

Read MoreYesterday I went to Aloun Farms for their annual pumpkin patch and festivities! It is Hawaii's largest pumpkin patch and is full of SO many fun things! Lots of great activities for little ones, but I was still having a blast! There is nothing like a good old fashion pumpkin patch.
Read MoreShe says she loves the North Shore...but can you blame her? Stopping at any beach on the North Shore is a good idea, but especially in the summertime. When I first saw Pupukea, or more popularly known as Three Tables, it was in the Winter and it was covered with big waves and foam. Every now and then I would see people snorkeling out their and I would always be so scared for them that I big wave was just gonna sweep them away.
Read MoreWelcome to the Island of Oahu, Hawaii! Home to over ONE MILLION people. Our little island is only 40 miles wide (thats the distance of home to Boulder for all my friends) and only 112 miles around. So really you can get around the island pretty easily and in basically no time...oh wait remember the part of ONE MILLION people? We're a bit over populated here on Oahu so our traffic happens to be the second worst behind LA, California! So this little island trip will take a good 5 hours to a potential day depending on the number and duration of your stops. I recommend starting as early as possible and finishing as late as possible! This way you can spend good time at each location and really enjoy everything there is to offer, because although small we have so much to give here!
Read MoreSandy's beach is one of our go to beaches here because you can easily see people you know or play in the shore break. But one of my favorite secretive places is the little Tidepool here. If you walk on the right side of the beach towards the bowl hole you will come across tons of beautiful fun little spots in the rocks.
Read MoreOh the feeling of floating in the sky above the ocean...and this view sure helps too! I love Parasailing and have done it twice now. The first was in Maiami, Flordia and the second here in Honolulu, Hawaii. If I get the chance I will Parasail over every ocean city. The view and experience is so blissful! Except the part when the captains think its funny to dunk you in for shark bait!
Read MoreWhile in Lake, City this summer, my family and I also got to do some serious off roading! While in Telluride last summer my dad, brother, and I did an off roading tour with Telluride Off-road Adventures to the old mining grounds. It was SO COOL! We knew our off roading days were not over then. So this summer when we found a few off roading sites in Lake City we were pretty excited! Even more so when we convinced my mom to come with us this time!
Read MoreLiving in Hawaii, the opportunity to see any professional sports team is always slim so when I heard that the Lakers were retuning to Hawaii you can imagine the excitement! The Lakers used to come to Hawaii every year since 1998 for their one week long training camp and few preseason opener games. However due to the large cost the team has not come since 2007. It's such a treat they decided to come back this year!
Read MoreCan you think of anything more fun than hiking 1,048 steps straight up a mountain?! Good because I couldn't either! Koko head is on the East side of Oahu and is a famous sightseeing stop. Those who are brave, and like a challenge, will actually dare to do it. When my two best friends came for Spring Break I couldn't think of a better way to spread some Aloha than to do this hike with them (insert crying laughing face emoji).
